Arla Foods in Sweden has launched several milk products in its organic EKO range using the Naturally Pure-Pak carton. The first gabletop carton made from natural brown unbleached paperboard, the Pure-Pak is the result of a collaboration between Elopak and Stora Enso.

The new paperboard, Natura Life by Stora Enso, retains the natural brown color of the wood fibers and has a visible fiber structure. According to Stora Enso, this creates a naturally different, sustainable, and authentic package that meets growing demands for ethical, ecological, and organic products. It adds that the natural look and feel of the new Pure-Pak carton supports the values of organic products and brings outstanding presence on shelf.

Says Arla Sustainability Manager Anna-Karin Modin Edman, “We believe that the new Pure-Pak carton will grab attention as it communicates organic values and is totally different to anything else in the increasingly complex chilled dairy segment.”
