FoodSafe Drains, a division of Global Drain Technologies and provider of hygienic drainage solutions, will showcase its latest innovations at PACK EXPO East 2026, to be held in Philadelphia, PA, February 17th - 19th, 2026. Attendees can visit Booth 654 to explore demonstrations of the company’s most advanced products, including the KeyForm drainage accessory, and programs like the Drainage Evaluation Program, established to provide an engineering assessment of drain condition, performance, and process.

The KeyForm drainage accessory is engineered to elevate the standard for drain and floor coating integration across various industries, including food and beverage processing. Crafted from powder-coated, high-grade aluminum, securely snaps into place to protect the drain system during the concrete pouring stage. It is then removed before the concrete fully cures. This produces a natural keyway, facilitating a seamless interface with the floor coating solution as the concrete is poured during the drain installation process. This integration reduces labor costs, minimizes rework potential, and improves overall quality.

Traditional methods for creating a keyway involve manually chiseling the form into the concrete around the drain prior to floor coating application. The KeyForm accessory eliminates this laborious step, saving time and increasing efficiency, while establishing an effective connection point between the drain and the floor coating.

Also at Booth 654, experts will be on hand to discuss the Drainage Evaluation Program (DEP). The DEP delivers a structured engineering assessment of drain condition, performance, and processes for food and beverage facilities, giving stakeholders a clear view of current risks and bottlenecks. It can also extend beyond visible drains to include flooring, underground piping, and below-grade scanning, providing a comprehensive look at the entire drainage system based on individual facility needs. The program is executed by Global Drain Technologies and, when appropriate, in tandem with GDT Alliance Partners, ensuring both drainage and construction perspectives are incorporated into recommendations.

DEP’s multi-step methodology includes screening, discovery, site visit, report development, evaluation plan, and SOP creation. It translates real-world observations into actionable, budgeted recommendations that balance performance improvements with capital and construction costs. The program can be delivered across three levels and optionally as an annual Evaluation Plan, enabling facilities to benchmark progress year over year and standardize best practices through a customized drain SOP at the enterprise level. Because each DEP is tailored to the specific facility or group of facilities, operators gain a practical roadmap to mitigate problematic areas, improve hygiene and safety, and support long-term compliance and reliability.
