Munson Machinery's new cantilevered laboratory Vee Cone Blender with Intensifier Bar allows optimizing of mixing parameters for bulk solid materials with or without liquid additions.

The VCB Series cantilevered mounting system supports interchangeable vee cone vessels in six sizes from 0.25 to 16 quart (0.24 to 15.14 liter) for laboratory and small batch applications.

Two inclined cylinders cause bulk materials to fall, converge and divide with each end-over-end rotation, achieving uniform blends in 5 to 15 minutes typical, with less product degradation than in agitated machines.

Smooth internal surfaces allow unobstructed material flow, as well as complete discharge through a gate valve.

An Intensifier Bar reduces soft agglomerates and improves diffusion of materials, while an optional Dispersion Bar sprays liquid additions onto moving material for rapid distribution throughout the batch.

The lack of residual material and easy access to internal surfaces through the discharge valve and cylinder doors, permit rapid sanitizing and visual inspection of all material contact surfaces.

The blender's control panel, which can also be mounted remotely, allows infinitely variable adjustment of all programmable functions.

Constructed of #316 stainless steel, the unit is available finished to USDA, pharmaceutical or industrial standards.

The company also manufactures 17 production-scale Vee Cone Blenders in capacities from one to 200 cu ft (28 liter to 5.66 m3).

Other Munson mixing/blending equipment includes Rotary Batch Mixers, Ribbon/Paddle/Plow Blenders, Fluidized Bed Mixers, Rotary Continuous Mixers and Variable Intensity Blenders. Size reduction machinery encompasses Pin Mills, Screen Classifying Cutters, Attrition Mills, Lump Breakers, Rotary Knife Cutters, Hammer Mills and Shredders.
